Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Shoflo ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you ("User," "you") and Longfield Studios ("we," "us," "our"). We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify users through the App or through App Store update notes. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

Shoflo is a television show discovery and tracking application that allows users to browse, organize, and track TV shows. The App provides features including show discovery, personal library management, watch progress tracking, and an AI-powered assistant for show recommendations.

Shoflo is provided free of charge. No subscription, in-app purchases, or paid features are offered at this time.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Shoflo. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

4. User Accounts

Shoflo does not require account creation. All user data, including your show library, preferences, and watch history, is stored locally on your device. We do not collect, store, or have access to your personal library data on any server.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Shoflo only for its intended purpose — discovering and tracking television shows for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or networks connected to the App
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App
• Use automated scripts, bots, or other means to access the App in a manner that exceeds reasonable personal use

6. Third-Party Services

Shoflo integrates with the following third-party services to provide its functionality:

The Movie Database (TMDB): The App uses the TMDB API to retrieve TV show information including titles, descriptions, ratings, images, cast information, and streaming availability. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. All show data, images, and metadata are provided by TMDB and remain the property of their respective owners. TMDB's terms of use apply to this data.

Anthropic Claude AI: The App uses the Anthropic API to power the AI Assistant feature. When you use the AI Assistant, the text of your conversation and a summary of your library preferences may be sent to Anthropic's servers for processing. Anthropic's usage policies and terms apply to this interaction. AI-generated recommendations are for informational purposes only.

Apple Speech Framework: The App uses on-device speech recognition for the voice import feature. Voice processing occurs entirely on your device and no audio data is transmitted to external servers.

You agree to comply with the applicable terms, policies, and usage guidelines of each third-party service when using features that rely on them, including Anthropic's Acceptable Use Policy and TMDB's Terms of Use.

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of these third-party services. Third-party services are subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

7. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in Shoflo, including but not limited to the App's design, code, features, and branding, are owned by Longfield Studios. TV show data, images, and metadata displayed within the App are the property of their respective owners and are provided through TMDB under license.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on any Apple device you own or control, as permitted by the Apple App Store Terms of Service.

8. AI-Powered Features and Transparency

Shoflo includes the following AI-powered features:

• AI Assistant (Chat): A conversational feature that provides personalized TV show recommendations. When you use this feature, the text of your messages and a summary of your library preferences are sent to Anthropic's servers for processing by their Claude AI model. Responses are generated by Anthropic's AI and returned to the App.
• Text Import (AI Parsing): When you import shows via text, your input is sent to Anthropic's AI to extract show names. This data is processed on Anthropic's servers.
• Voice Import: Uses on-device Apple Speech Recognition to transcribe your voice. The transcription may then be sent to Anthropic's AI for show name extraction.

Important disclosures:

• AI-generated responses are for entertainment and informational purposes only.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content. Show recommendations, descriptions, and any other AI output may contain errors or inaccuracies.
• Your conversations with the AI Assistant are processed by Anthropic, a third-party AI provider. By using AI features, you consent to your input being transmitted to and processed by Anthropic in accordance with their privacy policy and usage policies.
• AI features require an internet connection and depend on third-party service availability.
• You should not rely solely on AI recommendations for any decisions.

9. Data and Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Shoflo stores all personal data — including your show library, watch history, ratings, and preferences — locally on your device using on-device storage. We do not operate servers that collect or store your personal data.

10. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• The results obtained from the App will be accurate or reliable
• Show data, streaming availability, or air dates will be current or complete
• Any defects in the App will be corrected

Show data availability depends on TMDB and may vary by region. Streaming provider information is informational and may not reflect real-time availability.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LONGFIELD STUDIOS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

• Your use or inability to use the App
• Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
• Any third-party service interruptions or failures
• Any content or conduct of any third party within the App
• Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in show data or recommendations

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Longfield Studios and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the App or your violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any reason. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. Since all data is stored locally on your device, termination of access does not affect data already stored on your device.

14. Apple-Specific Terms

These Terms are between you and Longfield Studios, not Apple Inc. ("Apple"). Longfield Studios, not Apple, is solely responsible for the App and its content.

In accordance with Apple's App Store Terms of Service:

• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for the App.
• In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, including product liability claims, consumer protection claims, or intellectual property infringement claims.
• In the event of any third-party claim that the App infringes a third party's intellectual property rights, Longfield Studios, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of such claim.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the federal laws of the United States and, to the extent not preempted by federal law, the laws of the state in which Longfield Studios is principally located, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction within the United States.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Longfield Studios regarding the use of the App, and supersede any prior agreements.
